TASTESSH guide

Installation and first launch

Basis of this guide

This guide is based on TASTESSH 0.2.70 source and public release information. Obtain installers from Downloads and check the installed version in Settings → About. Screens and procedures in the source guide use Korean names.

Screenshots were taken in different versions and may differ slightly from the current version. Workspace and tab-group images use 0.2.70 source; the others were captured in 0.2.18 and 0.2.19.

Installation and removal by operating system

Formats confirmed in release configuration are EXE installers, MSI and ZIP for Windows x64, and DEB, RPM, AppImage and tar.gz for Linux x86_64. Check the download screen and release asset list for files actually provided. macOS DMG files were offered in earlier releases; this does not establish availability or verification for 0.2.21. Reviewing configuration and release information does not constitute executing installers, installation, signature checks or functional verification on every device.

  • Windows: choose EXE or MSI to install. Extract ZIP into a separate folder and run it. Remove through Windows Installed apps or the installer's uninstall function.
  • Linux: install DEB with a Debian-family package manager and RPM with an RPM-family package manager. Grant execute permission before running AppImage. Extract tar.gz and follow its included instructions. Uninstall using the package manager used for installation.
  • macOS: open the DMG and copy the app to Applications. Do not assume an Intel Mac installer is available. For operating-system trust warnings, verify official distribution and signatures, contact support, and do not bypass protections.

The expected result is app launch and confirmation of the installed version. If launch fails, compare package format, CPU architecture, OS requirements and permissions. Before removal, decide which hosts, settings, keys and logs to retain. Do not assume uninstalling deletes all user data.

Installation and first launch

  1. On the website's Downloads screen, select a TASTESSH installer matching your OS and device architecture. Check that screen for actual Windows, Linux and macOS availability.
  2. Follow installation instructions and launch TASTESSH. The Windows executable is tastessh.exe.
  3. Check the version in Settings → About and adjust language and display in Settings → Display.

On organizational devices, first check installation permissions, firewalls and SSH access policies. If security warnings appear, verify publisher and download source, and contact the organization's administrator. Do not arbitrarily disable security features to avoid warnings.
