Subscription and licence terms
The terms for buying and using TASTEDEV products. Terms for using the community are in the separate terms of service.

Contracting parties
TASTEDEV products are developed and supplied by GXSOFT (representative: CHOI YOUNG GU, business registration number 853-44-00368, 9F V24, 351 Gyeongin-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, Republic of Korea).
Online purchases are made through Paddle.com Market Limited. As Merchant of Record, Paddle handles payment, receipts, taxes and refunds, and the purchase contract is between the user and Paddle. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase. Paddle sends receipts and subscription emails under the name GXSOFT.
If you pay in Korean won with a Korean credit card (KRW payment on the Korean pricing page), the purchase contract is between you and GXSOFT, and the payment is processed by KG Inicis Co., Ltd. (integrated through Korea PortOne Co., Ltd.). KRW payment is available only for the perpetual licence and the perpetual licence with lifetime updates, and neither renews automatically. The payment provider issues the receipt; contact us if you need a Korean tax invoice.
Plans
What you pay for is the right to receive new versions, and the versions you receive stay usable afterwards.
- Monthly and annual subscription: you receive new versions while subscribed. Renews automatically.
- Perpetual licence: you receive new versions for two years from the purchase date. Does not auto-renew.
- Perpetual licence with lifetime updates: you keep receiving new versions. Does not auto-renew.
Delivery
Licences are delivered electronically, with nothing shipped. As soon as payment is confirmed, we email the licence file to the address you paid with and make it available under Settings › My licences in your signed-in account. You download the program from the downloads page, and it becomes the full version once you add the licence file or install code. If your licence does not arrive, please contact us.
14-day trial
Without a licence you can use every feature for 14 days. This is so that you can judge the product properly, and we do not ask for a payment method up front. When the trial ends, the desktop products (TASTEFILES, TASTECAD, TASTEFTP, TASTESSH and TASTEZIP) cannot be used until a licence is registered; the app then offers only Buy a licence, Register a licence and Quit.
Auto-renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Perpetual licences do not renew.
- We notify you individually by email at least 14 days before the renewal date, with the renewal date, the amount and how to cancel.
- Before raising a price we give 30 days’ notice and ask for your consent. If you do not consent, the subscription ends when the current period ends.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing management link in your purchase confirmation email. We do not ask why.
Scope of the licence
GXSOFT grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the product within the scope below. This right lasts indefinitely for the versions you received while updates were covered.
- Personal licence: one person may install it on any number of devices. We do not count devices you use yourself, and you need do nothing when you change machines. Sharing one licence between several people is not allowed.
- Business licence: members of the organisation named in the licence file may use it within the number of seats purchased (or, for a quoted contract, the seat count stated in the contract). One seat is one person, who may use it on any number of devices.
- Giving, publishing or reselling your licence file to third parties is not allowed.
- Bypassing or defeating licence verification, and decompiling or disassembling beyond what the law permits, are not allowed.
Versions you keep after updates end
Versions released while your updates were covered remain usable in full, indefinitely. We do not withdraw the right to use versions you have already received. This is the same for subscriptions and perpetual licences.
If you upgrade to a version released after that, that version is treated as unlicensed and, once the grace period passes, its tool features are locked. Resubscribing or extending updates unlocks them. You can see whether the version you are running is covered in Settings › Licence inside the app.
The licence file and what happens after expiry
The product verifies entitlement with a signed licence file. The file carries a maintenance date (the last day on which you receive updates), and the app compares its own release date with that date. The app never contacts a server while running. The file contains your name, email, licence number and the maintenance date.
- Even after the maintenance date passes, versions released within it stay fully featured.
- For a version released after it, the 14 days from the expiry date are a grace period. Everything works and only a warning is shown.
- After the grace period, tool features are locked. What is locked differs per product and is stated in each product’s documentation.
- Ways of reaching your own files — browsing, copying, moving, deleting, extracting archives and previewing — are never locked.
Provisional files for perpetual licences
This applies to purchases paid on or after 31 October 2026 (Korea time). Perpetual licences paid before that date receive the permanent file from the start, as before.
The first licence file for a perpetual licence or a perpetual licence with lifetime updates is a provisional file that carries a validity date (14 days from the payment date, the end of the refund period). Until that date it works exactly like the permanent file, with every feature.
After that date we provide a permanent file with the same licence number and no validity date. While it uses a provisional file, the app asks once a day when online and replaces the file automatically; the request sends only the licence file itself. If you work offline, connect to the internet once before the date or download a new file from My licences in your account. Licences that were refunded, cancelled or charged back are not converted, and their provisional file becomes unlicensed after its date. This does not apply to subscriptions.
Updates, support and refunds
You receive every version released while your updates are covered, and the versions you receive stay usable. We do not guarantee any particular feature or release date, and product plans may change. Refunds and cancellation follow the refund policy.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The product is provided "as is". We do not warrant fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, GXSOFT’s liability does not exceed the amount you actually paid for the period in which the problem arose. This limit does not apply to intent or gross negligence.
You should keep your own backups of important material. This matters especially for a product that handles files.
Governing law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea, and the Incheon District Court is the court of first instance for disputes. Consumers keep the rights guaranteed by the law of their place of residence.
We announce changes on the site and by email 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change that is unfavourable to you, you may cancel your subscription and we refund the remaining period pro rata.
